Industry Expert Profile & Services Setup Tutorial

1) Download the Tutorial

2) Sign in to start your profile

Introduction

1.     After signing into the website, you will be presented with a screen similar to the example shown below.  Select the Pay Per Session option on the left-hand side of the screen to start creating your profile.  Note: Do not select the Profile option as this is not utilized at this time.

 

 
2.     Once you have selected the Pay Per Session option, ensure the Profile option is selected to begin entering your information.  Place your first name and e-mail address in the highlights blocks below.

a.     The display name is how you would like your profile to appear (ex. Tony, Beth, etc.) and does not have to be your full or real name for anonymity purposes.

b.     The email address you enter here is not displayed on the website in any way.  This is the address the system will use to send you notifications that a client has paid for your services and is ready to setup a time.

 

3.     Enter the language(s) that you are comfortable conducting business in during you sessions.  Please ensure you separate each language with a comma when listing more than one.

 

4.     Use the highlighted blocks below to enter your age, gender and location that you would like displayed.

a.     Your age is how you would like it to appear on your profile and is a mandatory field at this time.

b.     Your gender is how you would like it displayed on your profile for others to see.

c.     Your location can be as specific (ex. Paris, France) or general (ex. Germany).  The entry you provide is up to you in terms of how specific you would like to be.

 

5.     Provide your Title and applicable tags in the highlighted fields shown below.

a.     Your Title is how you would like your profession to be listed on your profile.

(ex. Web Developer, Sales Professional, etc.)

b.     Tags are a way for you to highlight specific areas of strengths or skillsets to set your profile apart from others.

(ex. Management, Contract Negotiations, ERP systems, etc.)

 

 
6.     Enter your general days and times of availability in the highlighted field below.  This does not lock you into any specific day or time, but provides potential clients with an idea about when you are available.  After you receive payment for your services in advance, you are then able to establish a time that both you and our client are available.

 

7.     Use the highlighted fields below to enter your short description and biography for potential clients to review.  Your Short Description is displayed in a list with selected information (picture, Display Name, Location, Tags, Languages) of your profile.  Use this as a field to highlight some additional information in order to attract potential clients to review your full biography by selecting your profile.

 

8.     Select a profile picture (avatar) and a background image to be displayed on your profile.  The usage of profile pictures is mandatory on CareerChatPro, however the background image is optional.  The background image is displayed when a potential client selects your profile to review in more detail (full biography).  Note: Remember to make your profile picture professional and appropriate in accordance with the CareerChatPro terms of service.

 

 
9.     Space is provided on your profile to include links for your social media accounts. Note: At this time, CareerChatPro does not encourage providing personal or professional social media account information in order to protect your privacy.

Select Save Profile Information to complete your profile.

 

 
10.  Complete

Services Setup

Introduction

1.     After signing into the website, you will be presented with a screen similar to the example shown below.  Select the Pay Per Session option on the left-hand side of the screen to start creating your services.  Note: Do not select the Profile option as this is not utilized at this time.

 

2.     Once you have selected the Pay Per Session option, ensure the Services option is selected to begin entering your information.  Fill out the following information from the approved services table below:

a.     Service name

b.     Duration (minutes)

c.     Cost

d.     Description

Note:  Ensure you have not checked the Free block as this will override your cost and list your service as free.
